The Podcast Peer Awards are held twice a year, with different categories
each time.
Members
of the Podcast Peer Awards nominate shows for various categories.
Shows can be nominated for multiple categories.
Any PPA member can nominate any show. Other members then vote for
or against a show. Each member has one vote per show/category.
A show's score is the number of "yes" votes minus the number
of "no"
votes. A show must have a score of five or more to qualify as a finalist.
Voting for nominations takes about three months.
On February 1, the five top
scoring qualifiers in each category were announced. Some categories
had fewer than five qualifiers, and a couple had multiple way ties
which lead to more than five finalists. PPA members will be voting
for the finalists during the month of February.
On March 4th we'll
announce the winners. In the meantime, help yourself to these shows,
and you'll see why they're so highly regarded.
